After using affirmations for 15 years, I eventually noticed a psychological hack I now use that eases & supports the manifestation of your affirmation.
Let’s take a random affirmation: “I am peaceful.” If you begin to work on this affirmation, you need to be aware of the metaphysical mechanics that go into making you peaceful. As you use this affirmation, it will stir up all the things in your life that prevent you from being peaceful. Issues with people? Unresolved trauma? Busy schedule? To fulfill your will to manifest peace in your life, these things could blow up in your face so you can be on the other side of your karma/energetic situation to then manifest peace. “Be careful what you wish for.”
Whatever in your life on the physical, astral or mental plane that prevents peace in your life will have to come to the forefront and be resolved for you to then fulfill the words, “I am peaceful.” Even if the words “I am peaceful” remove time and space, you are still in time and space, so it needs to work through your energetic framework to be *true* on all planes and not just words of comfort in your mind. One point in magic is to be able to work on all planes. “Let it be done.”
You could start this affirmation, but then your life becomes chaotic and a mess if you don’t see through all the things that arise. Keep in mind the Buddha’s words, “To him who is persistent and never accepts defeat, the final victory comes” or something similar. If you don’t see the process through, you’re at a loss, or only half @$$ the process and the energy isn’t solid. It’s like downloading a software and stopping it before 100%. It might work, but it won’t be optimal or truly what it’s supposed to be.
So, how can you install affirmations within yourself without triggering all the energies that stand between you and the peaceful state you want to manifest?
Gratitude. Simple.
“I am *thankful* for all the ways peace exists in my life in the here and now.” “I am *thankful* for all the ways I am already inherently at peace.” “I am *thankful* for the peace that already resides in me.” “I appreciate all the ways I am already peaceful.”
There are two layers here. I lead with gratitude, but there’s one more key. Use gratitude as the facilitating force, but, *focus on how what you want to manifest already exists within you.* There are already moments in memory and the existence of peace within you. Even if you think you have never once experienced peace in your life as something to draw from, you can draw from knowing you are part of the All and that peace exists within the All, thus you have access to it. Gratitude is the bucket that dips deep into the well and draws up what you want.
The point is to amplify the peace that you already have through gratitude. In spirit mechanics, by this method your mind/karma will not put into motion resolving what stands between you and peace so you can embody it, but draw upon the well of peace you already have.
